Asscher Diamond Tools
Practical calculators built on the site’s Asscher research and buying frameworks
Use the site as a buying utility
These tools turn the research and comparison systems into practical calculations. They are designed to organize a shortlist—not replace a grading report, magnified imagery, video, or professional inspection.
Which tool should I use?
Size Visualizer
Compare approximate face-up width across common Asscher carat weights using the site’s versioned planning dataset.
Proportion Checker
Enter dimensions, depth, table, polish and symmetry. Get screening flags without a fake “ideal cut” grade.
Price Comparison Calculator
Compare price per carat and price relative to visible face-up area so two listings are easier to normalize.
Candidate Comparison
Place two to four actual Asscher listings side-by-side and calculate ratio, spread and key report differences.
Buyer Decision Matrix
Turn visual, origin, budget, clarity, color, setting and size preferences into a practical starting profile.
What the tools deliberately do not do
They do not assign an overall cut grade to an Asscher. GIA’s overall cut grade currently applies to standard round brilliant diamonds, not fancy shapes. The proportion tool therefore uses the editorial screening ranges documented in the Asscher Proportion Reference and keeps video/face-up evaluation as a required final step.
Data provenance
The size visualizer uses the site’s versioned Asscher dimension reference. Those millimeter bands are planning references rather than measured population averages. Price tools calculate only from values the visitor enters; they do not claim access to live retailer pricing.
