Retailer Review Methodology
What we look for before recommending a place to shop for an Asscher diamond
Asscher diamonds are less forgiving of weak imagery and incomplete information than many brilliant-cut shapes. Our retailer evaluations therefore focus on whether a buyer can meaningfully inspect and compare Asscher stones, not simply on brand recognition or commission rate.
Core evaluation criteria
- Asscher inventory: whether the retailer carries a useful selection across common carat, color and clarity ranges.
- Imaging: availability and quality of magnified photographs, video or 360-degree views that help reveal pattern, inclusions and possible windowing.
- Grading documentation: access to recognized laboratory reports and enough measurements to compare stones intelligently.
- Search and comparison tools: whether filters and stone-level information make Asscher-specific comparison practical.
- Returns and buyer protection: clarity of return, shipping, resizing and other material policies.
- Transparency: clarity around natural versus laboratory-grown origin, pricing, setting costs and important restrictions.
What we do not claim
A retailer recommendation is not a guarantee that every listed stone is well cut, attractively patterned or fairly priced. Inventory changes constantly and individual diamonds still require evaluation. We do not present affiliate commission rates as a quality signal.
Affiliate relationships
AsscherDiamond.com may earn a commission from some retailers. Commercial relationships are disclosed, and the existence of an affiliate program is separate from the evidence used to describe a retailer. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Review freshness
Retailer statements that depend on inventory, tools, pricing or policy should be rechecked periodically. Material policy changes should trigger a substantive page update.
